Easter Island is a beautiful and striking Chilean Island which is found approximately 3700 Kilometers to the East of Chile. It is a tiny speck of land which is arguably one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the world occasioned by fascinating natural features and beautiful sceneries that the Island is endowed with. The Island was formed by volcanic eruptions and is currently home to outstanding statues that are eye-catchy and appealing to look at. There is also a volcanic crater with steep sides in Rano Kau with a lake right in the middle. The lake is covered by totora reeds and oversees the Orongo village which is considered as a ceremonial village with over 50 oval-shaped houses.
